Couldn't make it by midnight but I finished colouring.
Hope you all like it, and I wish you a happy new year~
Please take this as a New Years card.
If you have a site, feel free to post it in the Gift section or something.
*What Are They Doing??:*
Mikey and Klunk are snuggling up in a kotatsu. It's a table with underside heating and a cloth over it. Perfect for the cold winters.
Bishop is staring at a top. It's a much larger type of top than regular ones. They are also made of wood.
The way "Koma" are designed, they must be wrapped around the bottom by a medium sized rope. By simultaneously pulling the string and letting go of the Koma with a LOT of force, the Koma will spin.
Raph and Leo were playing a type of badminton played in the New Years in Japan. When you miss, the other person gets to scribble something small onto your face - like x, o, mustaches, etc. (Raph won the last round)
Karuta is what the Foot are playing. The Foot Elite is reading out types of poems(?) on cards. The other players must try to put a hand on the matching card first.
They missed the correct card - this is called an otetsuki.
Casey is doing Mochi Tsuki. The traditional way of making mochi requires beating sweet rice with a wooden hammer inside a wooden... bucket(?) of sorts.
Kite flying is called Tako Agé. Although it isn't limited to New Years, this is one of the stuff people can do. What (the drunken) Saki is doing was something the ninjas supposedly did.
Fukuwarai is like Pin The Tail On The Donkey, except this game isn't limited to putting one piece onto the picture.
What Don has is the traditional New Years meal called the Osechi. It is like a huge bento full of food that symbolize things for the New Year. Stuff like happiness, beauty, long life, and luck.... Err...
(Don's osechi will probably shorten your lifespan. )
happy new year to you too hunny! you draw Don blushing so cutely! i just wanna hug him. thanks for the insight into another culture. it's more than us westerners do. apart from fireworks and a corus of Auld Lang Syne at midnight.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

And I met a man who wasn't there;
He wasn't there again today;
Oh how I wish, I wish he would go away.
